GPT Hello, how are you? Today I want to talk to you about a special time to visit our wonderful Puglia: the month of February! If you’re looking for a different destination, away from the usual crowded tourist routes, February in Puglia offers a unique experience, enriched by serene landscapes, cultural events, and a rich culinary tradition.

Weather in Puglia in February

The weather in Puglia in February can be quite variable, offering a different experience whether you are on the coast or in inland areas like the Murgia and Gargano. On the Coast Along the Puglian coasts, the climate in February is generally mild compared to the rest of Europe. Daytime temperatures average between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius, with lows rarely dropping below 5 degrees at night. The weather can be variable, with sunny days interspersed with cloudier periods and occasional rain. It’s ideal for long beach walks, especially for those wanting to avoid the more intense cold typical of other destinations. Inland Areas: Murgia and Gargano The inland areas of Puglia, such as the Murgia and Gargano, experience a slightly colder and more variable climate. Here temperatures can be a few degrees lower than on the coast, and it is not uncommon for some areas to experience overnight frosts. During the day, temperatures can still reach 10 degrees, but evenings tend to be colder. In particular, the Gargano may also receive snowfall during the winter months, especially in higher areas like Monte Sant’Angelo or the Foresta Umbra. This offers an unexpectedly enchanting landscape different from the typical Mediterranean scenario, with opportunities for walks through snow-covered woods or, if you’re lucky, witnessing a light snowfall that adds a magical touch to the environment.
